Attached for your information are the signed Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for Port of Lewiston Dock Expansion and Storage Area Development, and a document summarizing the comments received on the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the project and the Walla Walla District Corps of Engineers (Corps) responses to those comments. The Corps proposes to approve use of Corps-owned property by the Port of Lewiston for expansion of its existing dock and development of a graveled storage area at the existing Port facilities in Lewiston, Idaho. The signing of the FONSI on April 15, 2012 concludes the environmental compliance for the Section 408 review and Real Estate easement approval. The Decision Document for the Section 404/10 permit was signed at the same time. The Corps has revised the EA in response to comments. The revised EA, as well as the signed FONSI, comment summary, and Decision Document for the Section 404/10 permit are available in electronic form through the Corps web site at www.nww.usace.army.mil/LewistonDock/default.asp.
